I embarked on my fitness journey as a college student in 1988, initially drawn to weightlifting. My fascination with the secrets of longevity soon took hold, propelling me into the world of biohacking before it became a mainstream pursuit. Yes, I was already crafting homemade almond milk long before it became a staple on grocery shelves!

However, the path was fraught with challenges. In my quest for health, I embraced a vegetarian diet, only to find myself losing muscle mass and battling constant hunger. My health took a severe hit when I contracted a stubborn virus, a glaring indicator that my dietary choices were misaligned.

This experience served as my wake-up call. Reintegrating certain foods into my diet, I felt an immediate lift—a mental fog had cleared, and my energy levels surged, diminishing my reliance on coffee to kickstart my day.

By 1998, my passion for fitness had evolved, and I stepped into a new role as a fitness trainer, eager to impart my discoveries about low-carb diets and intermittent fasting. Yet, even as I assisted others, I overlooked my own bodily distress signals—poor sleep and perpetual fatigue were cries for help that I initially ignored.

It wasn't until confronting the reality of my lab results that the consequences of overtraining and inadequate nutrition truly hit home. This critical insight, combined with data from wearable technology, emphasized that I was not only overtraining but also under-fueling.

This pivotal moment transformed my approach to fitness. I shifted from pushing limits to adopting smarter, more tailored strategies that emphasized the importance of balancing diet, exercise, and recovery.

Today, I am convinced that the key to success in fitness and longevity lies in recognizing and honoring each individual's unique needs. It’s about crafting a strategy that balances the essentials—diet, exercise, and recovery—to achieve optimal health.

If current blood work with all needed markers is not available, you will be required to provide this at your own expense.
